I have always been one of those strange types to say I look forward to cold weather. So when making the move to South Dakota and experiencing the first "true winter" several years ago, Dad simply reminded me that I was the one that always "wanted to live where there were seasons" (please don't read into this wrong- I do LOVE living in South Dakota and I can and have survived the cold!). Well now that I know the meaning of "cold" I can say that I have never looked so forward to spring time as I have these last three years.... especially this year! Things are greening up here and we couldn't be more excited.
This morning we took the dogs running in front of the house around the dams (which by the way, we have ducks and geese now). Along the way we stopped to visit our Laddy Boy and we captured this sweet moment with Scout laying beside his cross. We sure do miss him.
The dogs enjoyed a swim in the dam... the ducks and geese did not. They flew away as soon as the dogs made their big splash.
